Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT: Read all instructions carefully and become familiar with all parts before installation.

STEP 1

Sill track (A) is over-cut. Measure opening for sill track and cut 13/16" less than measurement to allow for wall jambs (B). Apply a bead of silicone based caulk or a strip of butyl tape to bottom of the sill track and position on curb with the low side to the inside of the unit. Leave equal space at each end.

NOTE: If using a unit with ripped jambs to fit a Vikrell or similar stall, measure opening for sill track and cut 3/16" less than measurement.

STEP 2

Position the wall jambs (B), with the longer legs towards the opening, over the sill track and press down to the curb. Using a level, plumb wall jambs. Mark through the holes provided for anchoring. Drill 3/16"; clearance holes and insert plastic anchors (C) for masonry applications or drill 1/8" tap holes for fiberglass and acrylic units.

STEP 3

Secure wall jambs (B) with #8 x 1 1/2" screws (D). Use bumpers (E) in the center holes of wall jambs.

NOTE: When using a unit with ripped jambs for a Vikrell or similar stall, bumpers are not used in the wall jambs.

STEP 4

Header (F) is over-cut. Measure for header and cut 1/16" less than opening. Place header down on top of wall jambs with the scalloped side facing out.

STEP 5

Hang the outside panel (G) by the rollers (H) on the track inside the header (F). Repeat for the inside panel.

NOTE: If unit is made with obscure glass, place panels so that the smoother side of glass is to the inside of unit.

STEP 6

Move panels (G) to closed position. To adjust a panel to be plumb with wall, remove the panel, reposition the roller (H) on bracket (I) as needed and re-hang panel to check.

STEP 7

With panels hung from header and plumb with walls, snap in bottom guides (J) under the ledges of the sill track. Lubricate lightly as needed.

STEP 8

Insert towel bars (K) into towel bar brackets (L) with concave side facing out. Position towel bar assembly on panel with open side down. Fit studs of towel bar bracket into holes provided and secure with #8-32 x 3/8" screws (M).

STEP 9

Caulk the ends of the sill track and all other areas exposed to water using a silicone based caulk or other suitable sealant that will prevent water leakage.
