Parklane Pivot Door
Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT: Read all instructions
carefully and become familiar with all parts before installation.
STEP 1
Threshold (A) is overcut. Measure opening for threshold and
cut. Apply a generous bead of silicone based caulk to
the underside of the threshold and position on the curb with
the upright leg towards the outside of the unit.
STEP 2
Attach the pivot brackets (B) to the top and bottom of the fascia
jamb (C) with #8 x 1" screws (E).
NOTE: Leave the top pivot bracket loose.
STEP 3
Insert the vinyl fascia seal (F) into the screw boss on the
leading edge of the fascia jamb (C).
STEP 4
Using a level, position the fascia jamb (C) against the front
leg of the threshold (A). Mark through the holes provided for
anchoring. Drill 3/16"
holes and insert plastic anchors (G) for masonry applications
or drill 1/8"
tap holes for fiberglass and acrylic units. Secure the fascia
jamb (C) to the wall with #8 x 2-1/2" PH screws (H).
STEP 5
Position the door panel (D) with the bottom pivot pin assembly
(K) fitting into the bottom pivot bracket (B). Align top pivot
pin assembly and insert into the top pivot bracket. Tighten
the top pivot bracket screws (E).
STEP 6
Using a level, center the strike jamb assembly (L) on the threshold.
Mark through the holes provided for anchoring and drill as detailed
in Step 4. Secure the strike jamb with #8 x 2-1/2" flathead screws
(M).
NOTE: The strike jamb should not be against the front leg of
the threshold.
STEP 7
Make adjustments from both walls until the door is level and
closes against the strike jamb securely. Major adjustments can
be made by loosening the nuts of the pivot pin assembly (K)
with a 7/16"
open end wrench. Slide the door into position then re-tighten
nuts. Final adjustments are made at the strike jamb by loosening
the mounting screws (M) and turning the expansion screws (N)
as needed with a small (#2) Phillips screwdriver.
STEP 8
Install the handles (O) with #6-32 x 1-1/2" screws (P).
STEP 9
Secure the drip anchor (AA) with sweep (BB) to the bottom of
the door panel (D) using #8 x 1/2" tek screws (I). The drip anchor
should be flush with the bottom of the door.
STEP 10
Insert the drip channel end plug (DD) into the end of the drip
channel (CC). Position the drip channel (CC) with the highest
point towards the strike jamb (L) and angle down for desired
drainage. Secure with #6 x 7/32"
screws (EE).
